How we think about our impact

TidyPlant is a permanent botanical decor brand. That framing carries its own environmental logic: a composition that holds its character for years is inherently less wasteful than something that needs replacing. This page is an honest account of where we are and what we do.

Every item plants a tree

Every item ordered plants one mangrove tree in Kenya through our partnership with EarthLungs Reforestation Foundation and Veritree, facilitated via TheGoodAPI. A percentage of every sale goes directly toward that work.

Mangrove reforestation is not a symbolic gesture. Mangroves are among the most carbon-dense ecosystems on earth, storing up to four times more carbon per acre than tropical rainforests. They restore natural coastal habitats, support coral reef health by filtering sediment and runoff, and create direct livelihoods for the local communities doing the planting. When you order from us, a tree goes in the ground in Kenya. 

Packaging

Every composition ships in recycled or recyclable cardboard. Custom die-cut inserts are designed for many products so we use only what is needed to protect the piece in transit. The packaging is functional, minimal, and largely recyclable at the end of its life.

Shipping

We ship carbon-neutral on every order through verified offset programs. Permanent botanical compositions do not require climate-restricted ship windows - they ship any day, to any zone, year-round. No heat packs. No weather holds. No timing constraints.

The longevity case

The most honest environmental argument we can make is this: a permanent botanical composition that looks exactly as it did on arrival five years later is inherently less wasteful than anything that needs replacing. No disposal cycle. No recurring shipments. No substrate, no runoff, no plant waste.

The botanical forms are real-touch materials selected to hold their surface character and color under normal conditions over time. The composition ships once. It stays.

Where we are headed

We are continuously reviewing our packaging materials and logistics footprint as we grow. We will update this page when something material changes. We would rather say less and do more than claim more than we can stand behind.
