TidyPlant.com is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase or other transaction using the Services, subscribe to or interact with our text messaging program, or otherwise communicate with us. We use cookies, pixels, application programming interfaces (“APIs”), plugins, and similar tracking technologies, including the Meta Pixel, Meta Conversions API (“CAPI”), TikTok Pixel, TikTok Events API, TikTok Advanced Matching, Shopify integrations, and technologies used to operate our email and text messaging programs.

Depending on your interaction with the Services, our settings, your consent choices, and applicable law, these technologies may collect, process, or transmit the following information:

Website and shopping events, including when you view content, search the Services, add an item to your cart, initiate checkout, add payment information during checkout, complete a payment or purchase, or complete a registration. These events may be identified as View Content, Search, Add to Cart, Initiate Checkout, Add Payment Info, Complete Payment, Purchase, or Complete Registration.

Customer and matching identifiers, including email address, phone number, first name, last name, country or region, city, state, ZIP or postal code, and other identifiers used to match activity on the Services with advertising platforms. Where supported or required, certain identifiers may be normalized and hashed before transmission.

Device, browser, and connection information, including IP address, browser type, device information, cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, TikTok click identifiers, event identifiers, and information about how your device or browser connects to and interacts with the Services.

Order and customer data transmitted through Shopify Order APIs, Shopify Customer APIs, or related integrations, which may include order identifiers, transaction value, currency, product or content identifiers, quantities, order status, customer contact information, and location information.

The Add Payment Info event indicates that a customer added or entered payment information during checkout. It does not mean that we intentionally disclose full payment card numbers, card security codes, or online banking credentials to TikTok or Meta for advertising purposes.

We use information collected through these technologies to measure advertising effectiveness, attribute visits and purchases to advertising campaigns, understand how customers interact with the Services, create and measure audiences, personalize advertising, operate cart and checkout reminder programs, and optimize our marketing campaigns.

Abandoned Cart and Checkout Tracking

TidyPlant’s website uses cookies, plugins, Shopify features, and similar technologies to help keep track of items you place into your shopping cart and the progress of your checkout, including when a cart or checkout has been abandoned.

This information may be associated with contact information that you provide through the Services, including your email address or mobile phone number. Where you have provided the required consent, this information may be used to determine when to send cart or checkout reminder messages by email or text message.

SMS and Text Messaging Program

When you provide your mobile phone number and affirmatively opt in to TidyPlant’s text messaging program, we may use your phone number to send SMS or MMS messages from TidyPlant.

Depending on the program or consent you provide, these messages may include:

Promotional offers, discounts, product announcements, and marketing communications;

Abandoned cart or abandoned checkout reminders;

Product availability and back-in-stock notifications;

Order, payment, shipping, delivery, return, or account-related updates;

Customer service communications; and

Other messages described at the time you provide your consent.

We may collect and maintain your mobile phone number, consent records, opt-in and opt-out status, the date and method of consent, message delivery information, and information about how you interact with our messages. We use this information to operate the text messaging program, deliver requested messages, personalize communications, respond to customer inquiries, measure program performance, maintain consent records, prevent fraud or misuse, and comply with applicable laws and industry requirements.

Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

You may opt out of marketing text messages at any time by replying STOP to a message. You may request assistance by replying HELP or by contacting us at hello@tidyplant.com. After you opt out, we may send a confirmation message and will stop sending marketing text messages to that phone number unless you later provide new consent.

Mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

Location Information and Location-Based Services

We collect location-related information when you provide a billing address, shipping address, city, state, country, ZIP code, or postal code. We may also infer an approximate geographic location from your IP address, device information, browser, network connection, Shopify data, or related integrations.

We use this information to:

Process and deliver orders;

Calculate applicable taxes and shipping options;

Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized transactions;

Determine whether products or Services are available in your area;

Display appropriate regional content;

Comply with legal obligations; and

Understand general website usage and advertising performance.

TidyPlant does not intentionally collect precise GPS coordinates, use geofencing, or continuously track your real-time physical location through the Services. If we introduce a feature that collects precise location information, we will provide an appropriate disclosure and request consent where required by applicable law.

Third-Party Advertising and Data Sharing

We may share personal information and activity data with advertising and marketing partners, including Meta Platforms, Inc., TikTok, and their affiliated entities, through browser-based technologies, server-to-server APIs, Advanced Matching, Shopify integrations, and similar tools.

The information shared may include hashed or otherwise protected customer identifiers, such as email address and phone number; first and last name; country or region, city, state, and ZIP or postal code; device and connection information; browsing and shopping activity; and order or customer information made available through Shopify Order APIs, Shopify Customer APIs, or related integrations.

We use these disclosures to measure and attribute advertising, create or measure advertising audiences, deliver more relevant advertisements, retarget visitors, and optimize campaign performance. Depending on the laws where you reside, these activities may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for targeted advertising. You may have the right to opt out as described in the Your Rights and Choices section below.

The disclosures described above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

We may provide mobile information and consent records to service providers that help us operate our text messaging program, such as messaging platforms, telecommunications providers, mobile carriers, customer support providers, and technology vendors. These providers may use the information only as necessary to provide services to TidyPlant or as required by law and not for their own independent marketing or promotional purposes.

For example, we use Shopify to support personalized advertising with third-party services based on your online activity with different merchants and websites. Our business and marketing partners will use your information in accordance with their own privacy notices;

When you direct or request us to disclose information or otherwise consent to our disclosure, such as when information must be shared to ship a product or through your use of a social media widget or login integration;

Relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve the Services for you.

Information you submit to the Services will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify, as well as third parties that may be located in countries other than where you reside, in order to provide and improve the Services.

In addition, to help protect, grow, and improve our business, we use certain Shopify enhanced features that incorporate data and information obtained from your interactions with our store, other merchants, and Shopify. To provide these enhanced features, Shopify may use personal information collected about your interactions with our store, other merchants, and Shopify.

Children’s Data

The Services are not intended to be used by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority in their jurisdiction.

If we can associate the device sending the signal with a Shopify account, the opt-out request may also be applied to that account.

Other than the Global Privacy Control, we do not currently recognize other “Do Not Track” signals that may be transmitted by your browser or device.

Managing Communication Preferences

Promotional Emails. You may opt out of promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe option included in our emails. If you opt out, we may continue to send non-promotional communications concerning your account, orders, transactions, or our ongoing business relationship.

Text Messages. You may opt out of marketing text messages at any time by replying STOP to a message. You may request assistance by replying HELP or contacting hello@tidyplant.com. Opting out of text messages does not automatically unsubscribe you from email communications, and unsubscribing from email communications does not automatically opt you out of text messages.

Advertising Preferences. You may opt out of certain targeted advertising by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance, adjusting your advertising or privacy preferences within Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok, or using privacy-choice or cookie-preference tools made available through the Services. These settings may not prevent all collection or use of information by us or the applicable platform.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request, as permitted or required by law.
